Veerakeat

Veerakeat

Veerakeat Tongpaiboon has been painting
since he was 10 years old, winning three
international competitions as a teenager.
Initially, he took the more practical path of
obtaining a degree in design, and working
with his brother, a Bangkok architect.
Ultimately however, he moved to San
Francisco from his native Thailand and
returned to his studies at the San
Francisco Academy of Art. He received
his MFA and had his first solo exhibition in
1994.

Veerakeat is one of California’s most
successful contemporary artists, and his
paintings are widely admired and sought
after. They can be found in many
collections thoughout the country.
